Peppermint Candy?

After 11 days, this is the first day I have waked up without a 3-year old in the house. Ezri spent ten days at the Cleveland Clinic having a neurological evaluation and her 3-year old sister spent those days with me. It was a fun challenge to get her up and off to pre-school every morning. We had frozen yogurt at TCBY every afternoon. We always have to watch Ezri’s weight, so treats like frozen yogurt are very special. Kes is a very happy little girl, and it was fun spending one on one time with her.

In my down time, I started playing with a peppermint candy embroidery. There are no special plans for it, but a few ideas are beginning to gel in my head. Perhaps a holly leaf and peppermint candy wreath quilt block? Thought you’d like to see where I am with it. The blue is one of the first iterations and the purple is a later iteration. Still not sure about the edges, but that will come. This candy design fits the Accuquilt GO circle die.

My blog is about helping other quilters learn to use great tools in their quilting through what I can teach and through finding other bloggers who have good information. In addition, I am a mother and grandmother. Other hobbies include any other stitchery which makes me happy at the moment. I worked in clinical research for most of my career. I am now retired and enjoying every minute.
