Holiday Door Banners

AccuQuilt has published a recent blog post I wrote showing the door banners that I made using holiday applique with the new Pickup Truck die and the Gingerbread Cookies and their decorations. These were a lot of fun and so quick and easy to make. Depending on the applique shapes, one can make them any size needed. Without the letters, they would make great banners for inside doors or they could be made with names on them to hang on individual bedroom doors. I love the removable hangers that have the stick-on and easy pull-off adhesive.

  1. This is just adorable! I wish there was a way to purchase just the applique rather than the whole Accuquilt machine and dies. Love the idea of hanging this on a door or in a hallway.

    1. Hi Kathy, I know what you mean. You might check Etsy or Facebook groups to see if you can buy the applique shapes from someone. Sometimes people sell the cut shapes. And you could then either use your machine to stitch it down or purchase the embroidery files from AccuQuilt and use an embroidery machine to stitch the shapes.

  2. The Accuquilt site does have a free truck embroidery design….not fancy but a basic design if you have an embroidery machine.

    1. HI Belinda, yes, it does have free truck embroidery. I combined the truck and a simple Christmas tree, but if you look at their ads, there are a number of other Christmas things that can be “loaded” onto the pickup truck.

  3. These are so cute. I would love to make some. Where can I get the instructions?
    Thank you Kathleen
