This text came late last night. The youngest granddaughter loves the corner to corner crochet blanket I made for her. It was started when she was tiny. Between piecing a lot of quilts and a lot of crochet and some tendonitis, it was delayed a couple of years. It is so wonderful to see her enjoying it. It’s not as long as I would like, but it was planned for a much smaller child – LOL! The yarn color is called “Cancun” and is no longer available – but isn’t it beautiful?
It’s Saturday which means for the rest of October we will be doing youth baseball. Games are at 9:00 and 10:30 and requires us to be there 30-45 minutes early. Today’s temps are in the 50’s and low 60’s during game time so sweatshirts are in order. For those of us who live in the mid-Atlantic, that’s chilly.

I love the corner to corner crochet blanket I have 2 in the works. I too have tendinous so I only crochet for a few minutes at a time. I used to knit and have so many knitting needles. I know someone out there could use them. I have my moms stash too. She is 98 and crochets everyday, I have to fix her boo boos so it keeps me in practice of crocheting. I quilt and sew when she sleeps in the morning. My husband does all the cutting of patterns and sews sometimes. I wasn’t sure I would be able to quilt but it is a blessing and a love I hope will last a long time. Do you do anything for your tendinitis ?
Hi Peggy, Your story is almost like mine. I love to knit and crochet too but sometimes it is too much, and I have to take a couple of days off. The one helpful thing I have found is the anti-inflammatory cream, Voltaren. It is expensive but I find if I use it on my forearms, it is enough to ease the tendonitis and I can stitch away. The AccuQuilt cutter has saved me from having to rotary cut.
What a sweet photo and a beautiful crochet blanket. Have fun at the baseball games today. Sounds like a wonderful day. Enjoy!
Hi Darlene, We did have fun at the baseball games. The children enjoy them so much and this Fall weather is just perfect – not too hot and not too chilly.
